CUPERTINO, CA — Apple has rolled out iOS 26, bringing two powerful new features to Apple Music: Lyric Translation and Lyric Pronunciation. The update lets users instantly view translated lyrics for foreign songs and follow phonetic guides to sing along correctly.

Apple Music has offered synchronized lyrics for years, but iOS 26 marks the first time the platform provides both translation and pronunciation support. Lyric Translation displays a side-by-side view of the original text and its translation, while Lyric Pronunciation overlays phonetic symbols on the lyric timeline.
The features are enabled automatically for supported songs. To access them, users simply tap the lyrics button during playback and select Translation or Pronunciation from the dropdown menu. Availability: iOS 26 is rolling out now to all compatible iPhones and iPads. The lyric features require an active Apple Music subscription and are available in the Music app under the Now Playing screen. No additional settings are needed — the options appear when a song with support is detected.
